How To Search
These below four methods will assist you in performing a video clip, stock footage and digital media file search on FootageWorks. Search assistance help is always available by contacting customer service.
Browse Categories
To browse the stock media categories on FootageWorks, You can simply scroll down the home page and click on any alphabetically sorted category images or text descriptions to see the stock media clips inside of it. Or, you may also scroll down the category text list on the left side of the home page and select any category to view it's contents.
Quick Keyword Search
There are two ways to use the Keyword Quick Search Tool. The first way is to enter a single keyword and the search results will produce files that have that keyword within them. The second way is to add a string of keywords to match files with multiple words. For example: If you were to enter "police+car" without the quotes around the two words, you will see files with the words police car within them. It is important to note that multiple words must have the plus sign separating each word and do not leave any spaces. Should your Keyword Quick Search not produce your desired results, please contact us and we will gladly assist you in finding the exact video clips to meet your needs.
Advanced Search Tool
The Advanced Search Tab will allow you to perform a more thorough search. Here you may select to match at least one keyword, match all keywords or match an exact phrase.

How To Watch Preview Clips
Windows Media Player is required to view the online preview video clip files on the FootageWorks website. Most if not all PC Computers come equipped with Windows Media Player. Mac Users may download this free Windows Media 9 Plugin for Macs to view the .wmv files. We may consider encoding to flash preview files in the future. Drop us a line and let us know your thoughts about flash.
Delivery and Shipping Options
All Digital Media Stock Footage and Video Clips are deliverable in a variety of formats. You may choose to download files, receive video tape cassette dubs on Digital Betacam, Betacam SP, DVCam, MiniDv, CD or DVD ROM. Just let us know what works best for you. U.S. FedEx rates $35, International $50.
Talent Clearances and Model Releases
Talent Clearances and Model Releases may be obtained when client required by working directly with one of our affiliated Rights and Clearances Services Agencies. Contact customer service for referral info.
Payment Methods and Gateway Providers
FootageWorks.com is PayPal Verified. We accept PayPal and all Major Credit Cards. Mailed Checks are accepted with the provision that funds must clear the bank before media is delivered. Corporate Accounts may be established upon request.
How To Use Credits For Payments
What Are Credits?
Credits can be used like cash for making purchase payments on FootageWorks. Each Credit is equal to and valued at $1.50. That's one dollar plus fifty cents. Credits must be purchased in advance and will be automatically entered into your Credits Subscription account balance ledger. Your Credits account balance ledger can be accessed anytime by logging into your account. Each time you make a purchase using Credits, your Credits account balance will adjust to reflect your available Credits.
How To Set Your Account To Use Credits or Cash?
By default, your account on FootageWorks is set to accept payments for purchases using cash, credit cards and PayPal. This setting in your account is called (PPP) Pay Per Purchase. When you desire to pay by Credits, you will need to switch to the Subscription Credits mode. You may switch back and forth between the two payment methods at any time. The displayed pricing for stock media on FootageWorks will either display the cash price or the Credits price depending upon which payment method you choose in your account setup.
Is Using Credits Required vs. Cash?
Currently, all stock media video clips and raw stock footage video that FootageWorks offers can be paid for using either the PPP cash method or the Credits Subscription mode. We will soon be uploading thousands of digital still frame images and stock photos as well as digital audio sound clips. What Are The Advantages of Using Credits?
Credits may be purchased in blocks or packaged bundles. Discount bonuses of 3% to 33.3% are offered. The more Credits you purchase in a package, the larger the discount offered. These discount bonuses can bring your cost per Credit down to as low as $1.00 each. That means that you can save up to one third off of the cash price by using Credits.
How Do You Purchase and Buy Credits?
You can buy Credits by clicking the buy credits tab button in the top menu. Choose the best Credits package that gives you the level of discount for your purchase needs. You can pay for your Credits purchase by using any major credit card or PayPal. You may also arrange to purchase credits by mailed check by contacting our customer service department.
Are There Limitations On What Can Be Purchased Using Credits?
Credits may only be used to purchase downloadable stock media files. Credits may not be used to purchase shipped stock media files. Downloadable stock media files include: video clips, audio clips, stock photos, digital still frame images and special collections of all media files. This means that the stock media files that you purchase using Credits must be downloaded from the FootageWorks website. Shipped media on videotape or CD/DVD ROM must be paid for using the cash method.
Do My Credits Expire?
All purchased Credits will remain on your account until you use them and have no expiration date.
What Else Should I know About Using Credits?
Credits are not refundable and may not be combined with cash to make purchases. Credits may not be transferred to another users account. Using Credits can save you a lot of money. You can save as much as 33.3 % by purchasing with Credits. That means that a stock video clip that costs $249 cash price can be purchased for as low as $166 using Credits. That's real savings!
